Monmouth Symphony Orchestra Opener Featured NJ Violinist
"Monmouth Symphony Orchestra started the new year with a delightful program: Nocturnes by Debussy, Havanaise, Op. 83 and Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso. Op 28, by Saint-Saens, and Symphony No.3 in C Major. Op. 52 by Sibelius. World renowned New Jersey resident,Garry Ianco, was the featured violin soloist. Garry Ianco displayed his virtuosity and flexibility, putting his personal imprint on the Capriccioso and the Havanaise. He exhibited full command and range of his instrument as he drew his bow slowly and sweetly across the strings, and then with a dynamic intensity demonstrated his flexibility as his bow and fingers flew. Full of energy and vitality, he was clearly immersed in his music. The enthusiastic audience showed its appreciation of his virtuoso performance."
