From studio recordings with jazz artists Jacam Manricks, Ron Foster, and Doug Ferony to an appearance on tv’s 30 Rock, Garry Ianco leads a varied international career.

 

Living in the New York City area has provided Mr. Ianco with many unique performing, teaching, and production opportunities.

 

Garry Ianco has performed as concertmaster for many noted performers and ensembles.

 

Mr. Ianco performed as concertmaster for the critically acclaimed Chelsea Opera, The Irish Tenors, tenor Marcello Giordani, New Jersey Philharmonic, Verismo Opera, and many others.

 

Mr. Ianco performs as a first violinist at The Santo Domingo Music Festival under conductor Philippe Entremont. Additionally, Mr. Ianco was invited by Maestro Entremont to join the Munich Symphony on their tour of America.

 

Garry Ianco has also performed as a section violinist with the Albany Symphony, Glens Falls Symphony, The Orchestra of Northern New York, and the Philadelphia Virtuosi.

 

As a soloist, Garry Ianco has appeared with many New York area ensembles including the New Jersey Philharmonic, Montclair Chamber Ensemble, Monmouth Symphony, and others. Of his performance with the Monmouth Symphony, Carlton Wilkinson of the Asbury Park Press said, “Ianco’s tone was a shining sword.”

 

Mr. Ianco often performs chamber music with many leading musicians. Recent chamber music callaborators include Adonis Gonzalez, Joe Rabbai, Christopher Collins Lee, Jameson Platte, and Alex Markov.

 

Mr. Ianco has provided his production services to many noted conductors and ensembles including conductor Carl Topilow, tenor Marcello Giordani, the Chelsea Opera, the New Jersey Philharmonic, and Bachanalia.

 

Garry Ianco, a New Jersey native, holds a BM from Mason Gross of the Arts at Rutgers University ,an MA in String Studies from New York University, and a diplome from L’Ecole Americian in Fontainebleau, France . His teachers have included Dr. Jerome Landsman, Matthew Reichert, Oscar Ravina, Neil Weintrob, and Carmen Schiff. Mr. Ianco has also had master classes and chamber music study with Ani Kavafian, Glenn Dictorow, Gunther Schuller, Herre-Jan Stegenga, Phillipe Entremont, and Lucie Robert.

 

Garry Ianco resides in northern New Jersey, where he maintains a large private teaching studio. He is currently an adjunct professor of music at New Jersey City University. Mr. Ianco will teach in Italy and Germany during the summer of 2011.
